Introduction:
VEL Induction Heater (Type VEL/MF/BMD/40) is specially
designed & manufactured for mounting & dismounting
of shrink fit components like bearing, gear assembly,
rotor casing, end fitting of reactor tube etc. It is
a high po wered electronic equipment with control system,
interlocking, protective devices and inductor.

Special Feature of VEL/MF/BMD/40 :
*Faster
out turn of wheel. (Single fitment/removal of bearing
sleeve in just40sec.)
*No rejection of axle/gear assembly/traction motor
during fitment/removal of bearing/gear/pinion. (Also,
precision shrinkfit of reactor tube assembly possible)
*No residual magnetism in the bearing while heating,
hence longer life of bearings.
(We also save on demagnetisation cycle time)
*Equipment ready for use immediately. (Instantaneous
start)
*Precision power control & uniform heating, so
no distortion, no metallurgical change & no decolouration
of bearings. (So the bearing could be reused)
*Most efficient, takes balanced 3 phase current without
KVAR loading (Lesser load on electric system)

Superiority
Over Conventional Methods of Removal
of Shrinkfit Components:
|
|
|
OIL BATH :
Mess of oil, heat of the bath or hot plate, vapour
of oil, smoke, fear of fire hazards, requirement
of high degree of manual skill & efforts.
|
|
|
HYDRAULIC PRESS :
It has the risk of damaging the inside surface
of inner race of bearing.
|
|
|
HAMMER BLOW:
Apart from the risk of getting the bearing damaged,
requires high manual effort.
|
|
|
GAS TORCH :
Apart from damaging the bearing, has a good chance
of spoiling the axle shaft.
